Hi, my name is Alison Reynolds, and I'm a Teacher in the Special Education Citywide Autism Program at Bancroft Elementary. I work with second and third graders. Our students are in both their general educational classrooms and in the special educational settings. Bancroft is an International Baccheloriate school. The students in the Autism Program participate in the   IB units in both the general and special educational settings.   I've taught in the Citywide Autism Program at Bancroft since 2004. Each child in our program has a team of dedicated educators behind him/her. We focus on providing individualized social/emotional, academic, behavioral, sensory, and functional skills programming for our students. Our team philosophy supports building and maintaining ongoing relationships with the students we work with, their families, educational specialists, mainstream educators, and community agencies that provide additional support.
I attended college at the University of Minnesota, the State University of Minnesota/Mankato; and, I am currently working towards my certification in the Autism Program at Hamline University.
