Profe Vasatka

¡Hola! My name is Megan Vasatka, but my students call me “Profe”.  I am one of the Spanish teachers here at Bancroft Elementary School.  I now work part-time at Bancroft on Tuesdays and Thursdays teaching Hi5, Kindergarten, and Second Grade.  I am fortunate to spend the other days of the week at home with my daughter.

Before coming to Bancroft, I taught K-2 Spanish at Osceola Elementary School in Osceola, WI and Spanish 101 and 102 at Minnesota State University, Mankato where I earned my Master's degree in Spanish.  My Bachelor's degree is from St. Catherine University where I majored in Spanish, Critical Studies of Race and Ethnicity, and Education.

I have enjoyed many opportunities to practice my Spanish abroad in both academic and vacation settings.  I have traveled to Spain, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Peru, and Costa Rica and hope to visit more countries in the future!

If you have any questions please email me at megan.vasatka@mpls.k12.mn.us.
