Our Current Unit of Study

Our Spanish story units are taught using the TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) methodology which combines movement and literacy to achieve language acquisition.  At Bancroft we strive to include stories that are not only entertaining, but also educational in their presentation of cultural information about Spanish-speaking countries.  Some cultural aspects of our stories include descriptions of flags, biographies of influential people, or adaptations of traditional folktales or songs.  For more information about this method, please refer to one of the websites below:
