Ariel Gugudan - Spanish

My name is Ariel Gugudan and this is my second year at Bancroft Elementary and I am so excited to be a part of this team again! I have been teaching since 2013 after I received a degree in Spanish Studies and Education from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois.  For 3 years I taught Spanish 1 and 2 at a high school in Nashville, Tennessee before I relocated to Minneapolis.

I am so excited to be a part of the Spanish program here at Bancroft! I believe that it is incredibly important for students to learn multiple languages, and I believe in a wholistic, communication based, approach to language learning. We use a lot of stories, games, and interactive activities to help students stay engaged!

This year has been amazing so far and I cannot wait to see how much more we all learn together! Please contact me at if have any questions or comments!
