Dear Kindergarten Families,
My name is Karisa Marquardt (MAR - quardt - like a quart of milk) I so excited to be your child’s teacher this year! Kindergaten is an exciting time of learning and making new friends. It is my objective to make learning enjoyable and create a love of learning that will last a lifetime. We are lucky to have resident teacher, Coua Vang with us on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays. Ms. Rufina Serna-Quintana, Margaret Preston, and Pat Lovgren also enjoy working with students in room 103.
This is my 17th year of teaching. I have had many expierences over the years, but am happy to have landed here in kindergarten, at Bancroft. I graduated from Augsburg with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I completed my Master’s degree in Classroom Instruction with an emphasis in reading at Concordia University in May 2013.
Away from school I enjoy spending time with my husband, Mike and our two children. Avery is 9 and Ryan is 7. I also love scrapbooking our journey in life, reading, and trying new pinterest recipes (not that they all turn out).
I look forward to our year of learning and growing together. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Karisa Marquardt
