Ms. Mary Sjoberg --Room 205

My name is Mary Sjoberg.  This is going to be my 34 year teaching.  I have taught every grade level from 1-6. I graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth in 1988, with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.   In 2001, I received a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning from Saint Mary’s University in Winona.   My first teaching job was in Houston, Tx.  I taught there for three years before coming back to Minnesota.

I was born and raised on the Iron Range in the small town of Hoyt Lakes, Mn, with my parents and three brothers.  My dad was a teacher and I followed in his footsteps.  My mom was a stay at home for many years.  My parents instilled in me the love for learning, teaching, and children.  Now, I live in Apple Valley with my daughter Kiran and our dog Snoopy.

My daughter,
Kiran, is  a sophmore at the University of MN. She is the light of my life.   She was born in India and I adopted her when she was 8 1/2 months old.   In my free time I enjoy watching the Minnesota Twins and Gophers, I like to read a good book, and spending time, up north, at the cabin in Tower, MN.

The easiest way to get a hold of me would be through email.
