Greetings, first grade families!

Welcome back for an exciting school year! My name is Tiffany Renando and I will be your child’s first grade teacher! I live in Northeast Minneapolis, and this will be my fifth year at Bancroft Elementary. I have a B.A. in Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Minnesota, and my M.A. in Education from Augsburg College. I love Minneapolis and I am passionate about inspiring the children of Minneapolis to be lifelong learners, contributing citizens, and thoughtful community members. I love first grade because it is a year of great transitions and gaining more advanced work habits, social skills, as well as problem solving and academic skills. My goal is to guide your child's learning experience to be a fun, exciting, and successful one based in inquiry and the PYP.

I am greatly looking forward to working with you and your child this year! You are your child’s first and most important teacher, so I highly value the ongoing contribution you give to your child’s education. I included some vital information on the back of this letter. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me. E-mail works best to reach me, but you can also call or send a note with your child!
